The Heart Behind It

Some of our favorite memories have always been gathered around a table—holiday dinners, wedding celebrations, baby showers, backyard gatherings "just because." Creating meaningful spaces has always been part of who we are.

For decades, Joyce has been the heart behind our family's celebrations. With a background in weddings and floral design, she taught us that small details make people feel most welcomed—even while raising five children and now watching that family grow. That passion found its way to the next generation: Makayla loves designing warm, thoughtfully curated spaces, while Jacob figures out how to bring those visions to life (because sometimes his wife and mom dream a little bigger than planned).

As we hosted more showers, birthdays, and family celebrations, we noticed something—creating a beautiful event had become surprisingly complicated. Inspiration photos were easy to find; recreating them wasn't. It meant weeks of searching half a dozen stores, hoping everything matched, spending hundreds of dollars on items we'd use once, then storing and cleaning it all afterward.

After planning Jacob and Makayla's own baby shower, we knew there had to be a better way. Beautiful celebrations shouldn't require months of planning or a garage full of decorations.
